Quarterly Campers Challenge

$0.00

Info:

Rules:

  1. One Challenge per Year
You can only receive credit for one Camping Challenge per year.   Meaning not two Quarterly Camping Challenges.  If you wish to participate in both the Quarterly Campers Challenge and the All Season Camping Challenge at the same time you will need to submit separate camping reservations for each challenge.

  1. Seasonal Requirement

You must camp in each season:

  • Fall: September to November
  • Winter: December to February
  • Spring: March to May
  • Summer: June to August

  1. Quarterly Site Requirement

You must camp in each Quarter of the park once.  It does not matter which Quarter you start in as long as you camp in all 4.   You can use the wild card site once during your Quarterly Challenge in the event you are unable to secure a site in one of your four seasons.

The park is divided into four quarters, with some wild card sites:

  • North West Quarter: Sites 19, 11, 8 & 16
  • North East Quarter: Sites 10, 13, 17, 5
  • South West Quarter: Sites 2, 14, 3, 7
  • South East Quarter: Sites 15, 4, 1, 6

Wild Card Sites: 9, 18, 12 these can be used in any season, but only once during your whole challenge

  1. Minimum Stay

Each trip must be at least two nights

For those who want to combine the Perimeter Challenge (held in May) or the Frontenac Hiking Challenge (held in September or October) with the Quarterly Campers Challenge, one of the nights must be spent in the required quarter. The other night can be in another quarter to allow you the mobility to complete the hiking challenge.

This option is only permitted during the months of May, September, and October each year.

  • Combining Seasons

You can combine two seasons in one trip; however, you must camp a total of four nights to meet the seasonal requirement and the minimum number of nights.

Example: To complete the Summer and Fall seasons together, you would need to camp on the evenings of August 30 and 31 and September 1 and 2. The camping reservation would need to be from August 30 to September 3.

  1. Proof of Camping

Submit your completed Ontario Parks reservation, showing:

  • Dates of stay
  • Your name
  • Campsite(s) use
  • If camping as a group, the reservation must include all participants’ names.
