FoF Lecture #9 - Fungi

Louise has been interested in wild mushrooms since a young child, but says she has become quite obsessed with the hobby for the past 20 years or so. “It's fun to learn new species and to be on the lookout for mushroom sightings while out and about in the great outdoors. Mushrooms are not only incredibly photogenic but are also a fascinating and important part of our environment!”. In addition to hunting for mushrooms, Louise also leads hikes for the Bruce Trail Conservancy and snowshoe outings for the Five Winds Backcountry Ski Club. She hails from southwestern Ontario but is “head over heels in love with the topography of the Canadian Shield including gorgeous Frontenac Provincial Park“
